SOUNDS SEAFOODCOOKING SCHOOL

with GUEST CHEF MAREE CONNOLLY

Join guest chef  Maree Connolly (Executive Chef, Hotel d'Urville) for an alfresco cooking class down by the waterfront at The Portage Resort Hotel. 

Find out how to turn the catch of the day into a gourmet BBQ. Maree will show you how to handle a range of seafood and turn a selection of bounty from the sea into a banquet ideal for parties with friends in the summer. 

You will spend the morning preparing and cooking the dishes in time to sit down for lunch and enjoy your efforts matched with wines from Montana's Stoneleigh Rapaura Series.

Timing - 10.30am - 2.30pm (approximate finish).

Cost $235 per person including return transfers from Picton, Cooking School, lunch and wine tasting.

Cougar Line departs Picton at 10am and returns at 4.45pm.

ADD ON AN AFTERNOON CRUISE...

Make a day of it and spend the afternoon on a leisurely cruise on Kenepuru Sound with Marlborough Travel's Greenshell Mussel Cruise $99 per person, then return to Picton on the 6.15pm Cougar Line.

STAY FOR A SAVVY SEAFOOD DINNER...

Dinner this evening featues local seafood prepared by The Portage Chef John Anderson.  The menu will be matched with wines from the Stoneleigh Rapaura Series chosen by winemaker Jamie Marfell who will be talking about how to select wines to match seafood during the dinner.

Cost $65 per person including Stoneleigh Rapaura Series wine.

For those attending the dinner only, Cougar Line transfer available departing Picton at 6pm.

For all dinner guests Cougar Line departs The Portage Resort Hotel for Picton at approximately 11pm.
