The five distinctly different weekends of the Marlborough Sounds Water and Wilderness Festival showcase one of New Zealand's favourite playgrounds.

Water and wilderness are the outstanding experiences of the Festival and a day or two out discovering the Sounds will send you home revitalised and ready for summer.

Daily through the festival you will be able to sea kayak, choosing from both Queen Charlotte and Kenepuru Sound, walk or bike Queen Charlotte Track, one of New Zealands great walks.

Cruise through Queen Charlotte Sound to visit Motuara Island bird sanctuary and Ship Cove, stop in to hidden bays with private homes and resorts.

There are fishing trips, Greenshell Mussel cruises, sailing and even with a dolphin or two.

Or you can experience the wineries of Marlborough with half and full day wine tours.
